Privacy Policy

Wheredrobe ("we", "us") is a visual search app: you photograph or upload an image, circle an item of clothing, and we help you find where to buy it. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Photos you submit. When you take a photo or pick a screenshot to search, the image is sent to our servers to detect and match the items you circle. We use it to run that search and are not building a permanent photo library of your uploads tied to your identity.
• Saved items. Products you save are stored locally on your device, not in a Wheredrobe account — we don't operate user accounts or logins.
• Purchase and subscription data. Subscriptions are handled by Apple's App Store and our subscription infrastructure provider (RevenueCat), which tells us your subscription status (active, expired, etc.) so the app can unlock accordingly. We don't receive your payment details — Apple processes those directly.
• Basic diagnostic data. Standard technical logs (e.g. request timing, error rates) to keep the service running and to fix bugs.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data.
• We don't use your photos to train public or third-party AI models.
• We don't require an account, so there's no persistent user profile beyond your device's local saved list.

Third parties

To find matching products, submitted images and derived search queries are processed by our backend and by the search/AI providers it calls to identify and locate products. Subscription status is managed via Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We only share what's necessary to provide the search and subscription features themselves.

Camera and photo access

Wheredrobe asks for camera access so you can photograph an item in person. Photo library access is not required to pick a screenshot — the system picker hands us only the specific image you choose, and the app never gets broader library access from it.

Data retention

Images submitted for search are retained only as long as needed to process that search and to support things like re-viewing recent results; they are not kept indefinitely. Saved items live in local app storage on your device and are removed if you delete the app or clear its data.

Children

Wheredrobe is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
